At the Department of Fine Arts & Design in Salzburg, students develop an artistic and creative voice through the study of craft, design, art and material culture. Students will analyse the concepts of image, object, space and media, with theory and pedagogy courses rounding off their teacher training in either Visual Arts or Design: Technology.Textiles. Graduates are qualified to teach in schools or extra-curricular settings.

    kunst*voll - voller Kunst. 50 Jahre Bildende Künste und Gestaltung - 1976 wurde an der damaligen Hochschule Mozarteum die Abteilung für Kunsterziehung gegründet. In der Galerie DAS ZIMMER, in der zeitgleich die Ausstellung „Angewiesenheit“ von Martha Stützle stattfindet, wird der Leiter des Departments für Bildende Künste und Gestaltung die Gäste begrüßen. Susanne Prucher spürt in ihrem Vortrag den Anfängen der Kunst- und Werkpädagogik nach.

    Ö1 Talent Scholarship for Visual Arts 2026 

    The Ö1 Talent Scholarship for Visual Arts, worth €10,000, is provided by Wiener Städtischer Versicherungsverein. The award is intended to support emerging talent among students at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the University of Art and Design Linz, the Mozarteum University Salzburg and the University of Art and Design Graz.

    How do young people envision their future? The answers to this question vary greatly: while many young climate activists emphasise the urgency of the climate crisis and fight for change, other young people feel largely unaffected by this debate. Their perspectives on the future often go unnoticed, even though we are all affected by the consequences of climate change.
