Overview
Many orchestral and opera conductors active in the music world today started out at the Mozarteum, where they studied with internationally renowned teachers such as Nicolaus Harnoncourt and Dennis Russell Davies. In addition to an impressive faculty, the department offers students numerous opportunities to rehearse with the Symphony Orchestra and the Academy Orchestra of the Mozarteum University. Public concerts take place several times a year in Salzburg.
