The recently established Institute for Open Arts is currently in an exciting development phase. The institute offers open structures for artistic research in theory and practice as an inter-, trans- and non-disciplinary workspace within the university. By forging connections between the arts (music, visual arts, text, theatre, dance, film, digital media), and doing so both within and outside the university, boundaries between different disciplines to be broken down; particularly exciting opportunities arise through engagement with the natural sciences and humanities and the networking of the analogue with the digital world.
