For 15 years, the Mozarteum University has been cooperating with the Tyrolean State Conservatory in the field of music school teacher training. In 2021/22, the offer in Innsbruck will be expanded to include the study profile "Jazz/Pop" in the Bachelor's program IGP and the Master's program "Making Music in Diversity Contexts".
Rector Elisabeth Gutjahr, Vice-Rector Mario Kostal and Vice-Rector Anastasia Weinberger traveled to Innsbruck to sign the cooperation agreement with the Tyrolean Provincial Councilor Beate Palfrader With this agreement, a clear profiling of the art university location Innsbruck succeeds. The new IGP study profile 'Jazz/Pop' and the strengthening of educational research form central pillars here. Above all, the new master's degree in 'Music Making in Diversity Contexts' consistently continues a development that was promisingly initiated by Heike Henning, among others, with numerous projects in the area of choral pedagogical research as well as music didactic development research in the context of inclusive, intercultural, music pedagogical and concert pedagogical settings. In addition, there is a clear commitment to cooperation in the visual arts teacher training program," emphasizes Elisabeth Gutjahr.
