Creative collisions. Contexts and processes of cultural media education
What happens when young people who attend a municipal secondary school in Austria are confronted with avant-garde artistic forms of expression in the course of a multi-week culture and media education workshop? As this empirical study shows, there is a wide range from absolute rejection to fascinated participation in projects. The encounter with the foreign as a pleasurable (difference) experience? Supported by a well-founded, interdisciplinary theoretical discussion, processes that could be observed in the course of the workshops examined are examined.
