Tatjana Meyer
PhD
Tatjana Meyer is a lecturer in musical rehearsal at the Mozarteum University. In the summer she works as a vocal coach at the Miami School Program in Salzburg. She is also a state-certified tour guide and in her spare time she offers guided tours in German, English and Russian. Since 2015 she has been teaching music history to tour guides at the Economic Development Institute.
Tatjana Meyer was born in Kazakhstan. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and at twelve she won first prize in the XXVI Republican Piano Competition. She studied piano concerts, accompaniment, song accompaniment, chamber music and pedagogy at the Music Academy in Yekaterinburg (Russian Federation), which she graduated in 2002 with the highest distinction. Tatjana Meyer is a prizewinner of the international competition IBLA Grand Prize in Italy (2000) and the XVII FLAME competition in Paris (2006). In 2006 she completed her master's degree and in 2010 her doctorate with distinction at the Mozarteum University. She is currently working as a teacher for musical rehearsals at the Mozarteum University and in the summer she works as a vocal coach at the Miami School Program in Salzburg.
