Enrico Bronzi
Enrico Bronzi has been a cellist in the Trio di Parma since 1990 and has performed with the ensemble in the most important concert halls in Europe, the USA, South America and Australia. He has made a name for himself at international competitions in Florence, Melbourne and Munich and has been awarded the "Premio Abbiati" by Italian music critics. He teaches at numerous Italian and Finnish institutions, also in collaboration with the Trio di Trieste and M. Jones. Since October 2007 he has been professor of cello at the Mozarteum University.
For two years Enrico Bronzi was first cellist of the Orchestra del Teatro Alla Scala. Since 2001 he has been a soloist alongside his constant chamber music activities, which brought him a prize at the Rostropovich Competition in Paris and culminated in a first prize at the Paulo Cello Competition in Helsinki in 2002. He also received the special prize dedicated to R. Sommer for the best performance with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra. After this success, he was invited as a soloist by the leading festivals and orchestras in Northern Europe. Since 2008 he has been artistic director of the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro.
