Doris Valtiner-Pühringer

Senior Lecturer for Elemental Music & Dance PedagogyElemental Music & Dance Education – Orff Institute
Since 2008 Doris Valtiner-Pühringer has been a teacher at the Orff Institute in the areas of dance and didactics, and since 2013 she has taken over the moderation and conception of the "Mittendrin Concerts" of the International Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg in cooperation with the Orff Institute. In this series, 25 concerts per season are created for 0 to 3 year olds and their parents as well as for toddler groups.

In 2007, Doris Valtiner-Pühringer completed her studies in "Elemental Music and Dance Pedagogy" at the Orff Institute of the University Mozarteum in Salzburg with distinction. During a study abroad in England, she was able to deepen her knowledge of choreography and other subsidiary subjects such as "Installation Art" and "Voice Production" in the "Choreography" branch of study at "Dartington College of Arts".  She gained practical experience in teaching as a children's dance teacher at the SEAD (Salzburg Academy of Dance) and by leading dance theater workshops several times at the Toihaus in Salzburg. This was followed by a permanent position at the Musikum Salzburg in the field of elemental music education (“early education” in numerous kindergartens and “holistic guitar music-making” with groups). She regularly gives courses at home and abroad. From 2007 to 2012 she was a member of the performance group Das Collectif at the Orff Institute, which showed numerous performances with pieces for dance and body percussion.
