University assistant/third-party funding project ‘New Media’ in the ProQ-STEAM research project [Fine Arts] Innsbruck

Lukas Jakob Löcker works at the Mozarteum University as a project member for ‘New Media’ in the research project ProQ-STEAM for the ‘Bildnerische Innsbruck’. He also works as a project manager for cultural and art education and teaches at the ‘Media Design’ department (Institute for ‘Art & Education’) at the University of Art and Design Linz.

There he previously completed a BA degree in ‘Time-based & Interactive Media’ as well as an MA degree in ‘Time-based Media’ and a PMA degree in ‘Music & Media Technology’ at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz, both with honours.

His artistic works have been exhibited or performed at various national (Ars Electronica Festival, Brucknerhaus, IMAkusmonium Festival, Alte Schmiede) and international (Bauhaus Dessau, Transmediale Berlin & Dortmunder U in Germany, as well as in the USA, GBR, TUR, SRB & ROM) cultural events.

He has curated and/or lectured in Linz for Festival Neue Musik (Brucknerhaus), Symposion Subcultura (Kapu) and the Landestheater, and in Berlin for Weißensee Kunsthochschule, Radical Roots of Rave Symposium and the University:Future Festival, as well as in San Francisco at the California Institute of Integral Studies. For the past 5 years he has also been responsible for coordinating sound workshops as part of the international artistic residency Sounds Like A Book (ROM).
