Artificial intelligence and its impact on our daily activities On 15 March 2023, the first event in a series of events organised by Salzburg's universities in cooperation with the Wissenstransferzentrum West (Knowledge Transfer Centre West) was dedicated to a hot topic: the impact of artificial intelligence on our everyday lives. The explosive nature of the topic and the fact that the discussion has arrived in the university context and in our society was demonstrated by the full Small Studio at the Mozarteum University.

In memoriam Daniel Walter Chorzempa The U.S. pianist and organist Daniel Walter Chorzempa was university professor of organ at the University Mozarteum Salzburg from 1994 to 2013. He passed away in Florence on March 25, 2023.

12th place in QS University Ranking for Performing Arts Eight Austrian universities have made it into the top 50 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023. The Mozarteum University reached 12th place in the Performing Arts category, ranking 9th in Europe and still second in the German-speaking world.

Ö1 Talent Scholarship for Visual Arts 2023 The Ö1 Talent Scholarship for Visual Arts in the amount of 10,000 euros, provided by Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein, is being offered by Ö1 for the 16th time this year. The prize serves to promote young talent among students at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the Linz University of Art and the Mozarteum University.

Stephanie Prähauser alias Helena Adler - Author In 2020, the author Helena Adler's second novel Die Infantin trägt den Scheitel links was published by Jung und Jung. The book landed at number five on the ORF bestseller list in April 2020; she opened the O-Töne literature festival in 2020 with a reading from the book. In August 2020, the novel was longlisted for the German Book Prize. At the end of August 2022, her third book was published: Fretten, which was nominated for the Austrian Book Prize 2022.

5th Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians Application until 7 May: The competition was launched by the Mozarteum University in 2015 and is aimed at young musicians under the age of 23. It focuses on their virtuosity, their understanding and their interpretation of classical music. The orchestra of the competition is the Salzburg Chamber Soloists.
