Anastasiia Larina receives scholarship from the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA). She comes from Kherson/Ukraine and has been studying the MA Applied Theater - Critical Theater Practice and Community at the Thomas Bernhard Institute of the Mozarteum University since 2023.

The scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with various institutions, including the Mozarteum University, enables Anastasiia Larina to work on her artistic-practical master's project. The project concentrates around questions intro- and extrovertism around sociatel situations:  What happens to our body, voice, and thoughts when we are surrounded by strangers? Why do crowds make us feel both invisible and exposed at the same time? How do political events, digital culture, and personal fears influence the way we experience crowds? Who is afraid of crowds - and who enjoys them? Who makes contact?

In her master’s project Anastasiia Larina examines her own questions with the means of research and theater. The public presentation will take place in summer 2025.

ASoP was launched in 2023 against the backdrop of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and to mark the 50th anniversary of Austria Kultur International. The aim of the Foreign Ministry's cultural project is to protect and promote European artists who are threatened by political repression and are no longer able to practice their art in their home countries, or only to a limited extent. These artists are supported by awarding grants and networking with renowned institutions in Austria.

Anastasiia Larina is the second person after Maryna Yakubovic to receive the ASoP scholarship at the Mozarteum University with the support of Practicing Care.
