university and family: Mozarteum University honored again

The ceremonial awarding of the certificate took place in the Aula der Wissenschaften in Vienna. Bernadett Humer, Head of the Section for Family and Youth at the Federal Chancellery, presented the certificate to Vice-Rector Dr Mario Kostal on behalf of the University as a family-friendly employer. On behalf of Federal Minister Susanne Raab, she recognised the Mozarteum's successful measures to improve the compatibility of career, studies and family.

This award recognises the university's ongoing commitment to a family-friendly university culture.

Studying and working in harmony with family needs

The decision to undergo the re-certification process again is based on the conviction that this structured and monitored approach provides decisive impetus for the further development of the university. It reflects our striving for quality in the development, mediation and development of the arts as well as in university research in the arts and at the same time emphasises the central importance of a harmonious combination of studies, career and family as the basis for sustainable success.

In recent years, we have made significant progress, particularly by further developing our childcare services for students and staff. This offer is firmly established and is characterised by an artistic focus. The child-friendly infrastructure has also been expanded. In addition, we offer comprehensive information on our website on the topics of studying and working with children as well as helpful links on the topic of care.

These measures strengthen our attractiveness both as a university and as an employer by creating an environment that promotes innovation and personal development. Re-certification is therefore a key step in sustainably securing and further developing our values and standards.
