#summercamp24
Once again this year, the Thomas Bernhard Institute opened its doors & theatre for #summercamp24: 25 teenagers and young adults immersed themselves in the world of theatre, but above all in everyday life at drama school, under the direction of Renate Aichinger from 7 to 12 July 2024: What is it like to study at the Mozarteum? What exactly do you learn there? And most importantly for some: how do the entrance exams work?

Thomas Bernhard Institut
Supported with a lot of power by students, who patiently and enthusiastically provided insights into their everyday lives even after the official end of the semester and ensured that everything ran smoothly.
Many students only realised how demanding and intensive studying is after this week. Beforehand, the day was packed with workshops organised by the institute's lecturers in the areas of voice, acting, music, dance and body. The evening programme followed by a joint chill-out in front of the theatre with a mini paddling pool provided a musical end to the sore muscles. A joint dinner with students from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), who were guests at the same time, ensured an intercultural exchange. At the end of this intensive week, the young adults performed together on stage at a jam session in the theatre in the KunstQuartier. It was a great finale for a group that had begun with so many individual personalities.
Whether from Salzburg, Graz, Vienna, Kiel, Magdeburg or Munich - everyone took home not only a Mozarteum bag, but also a wealth of impressions and experiences ... and not forgetting the secret of the ‘stage slap’ :)
