Chariklia Apostolu
Chariklia Apostolu studied piano and piano pedagogy with Thalia Mira at the Athens Conservatory, graduating with honors, and went on to study concert piano with Alfons Kontarsky, song accompaniment with Kammersänger Werner Hollweg, with Hartmut Höll and Mitsuko Shirai, and fortepiano with Anthony Spiri at the Mozarteum University.
She received private lessons in harpsichord, basso continuo and historical performance practice from Rolf Basten, and she was taught conducting by August Haltmayer. She completed her training at the Anton Bruckner Private University in choral conducting with Kurt Dlouhy and orchestra conducting with Ingo Ingensand. She completed both master's courses with distinction. In 1995 she worked for a year as a répétiteur in courses by Robert Holl and Thomas Hampson. From 1995 to 2000 she received a teaching assignment for solo and class coaching at the Mozarteum University, where she has been working as a contract teacher for musical preparation in the opera department since 2000. Since 1994 she has been a répétiteur at the International Summer Academy of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and has also been giving recitative courses since 2007. Since 2012 she has also been teaching conducting at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt.
