Mari Ota received her piano training at the University Mozarteum with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling (concert subject) and with Alfons Kontarsky (piano chamber music). As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed in Japan and in Europe and recorded several CDs, including Mozart's Concerto for Two Pianos and the Concerto for Three Pianos with Cyprien Katsaris. Since 2009, she has been active as a pianist for the Salzburg Bach Choir and works as a répétiteur at the Salzburg Festival and the Mozartwoche Salzburg, among others. Since 2018, she has been teaching as an assistant to Gereon Kleiner at the University Mozarteum.
