The Ö1 Talentebörse Composition Prize in the amount of 10,000 euros is awarded by Ö1 and the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) and will be announced for the tenth time in 2025. The composition prize is a composition commission for a chamber music work, which may also include electronics.

This Ö1 Prize is intended to support young composers who are studying at one of the following five Austrian music universities: University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna, Anton Bruckner Private University, Mozarteum University Salzburg, University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.

At the centre of this Ö1 funding initiative is sustainability in the context of promoting young talent. The basic idea is to enable an outstanding talent from the five Austrian music universities mentioned above, who is selected by an independent jury of experts, to create a new work, première it and achieve a broad media presence.

Prize money 

The prize money for the Ö1 Talentebörse Composition Prize 2025 in the amount of 10,000 euros, which the OeNB is making available, will be distributed by the
