The guitar department of the Mozarteum University is starting spring 2024 with an extensive programme: students in the classes of Andrea De Vitis and Laura Young have the unique opportunity to showcase their talent at concerts in Italy, which are made possible as part of an Erasmus collaboration with the renowned Boccherini Conservatory in Lucca (Tuscany).

The students' trip spans the first two weeks of March and includes performances that have been organised by invitations from the Accademia Vivarium Novum (Frascati) and the "Roma Expo Guitars" festival. Around 20 students will be accompanied by Laura Young and Andrea De Vitis to present their skills to an international audience. A highlight of these concerts will be the premiere of the project "CumTempora - the Mozarteum Guitar Ensemble". Under the direction of Andrea De Vitis, the ensemble will present an innovative exploration of the sounds and repertoire of our time and the future. This initiative demonstrates the Mozarteum University's commitment to promoting students not only in traditional but also in contemporary forms of musical expression.

Save the date: CumTempora celebrates its premiere at the Solitär on 5 June at 20:00: the concert will feature students from all guitar classes at the Mozarteum University and promises to be a fascinating experience for lovers of guitar music.
