With Dylan on the Road: Call 2024

Based on the idea that music and art studies can also take place on the road, the Mozarteum University 2022 offered students of all disciplines the opportunity to apply in pairs for a fully funded travel grant for co-creative artistic projects for the first time.  

A total of 18 students set off with their submitted concepts for With Dylan On The Road 1 and traveled to 5 continents and 17 countries. The resulting art projects, ranging from photo portfolios, plays, road movies, drawings, performances, explorative documentary films, new songs and new song interpretations, were premiered in October 2022 as part of Jazz & The City in the heart of Salzburg's old town, accompanied by an artistic-scientific Bob Dylan symposium at the Salzburg Marionette Theater. 

In the spirit of Bob Dylan's Bringing it All Back Home, these works of art will now be brought together in an exhibition in the foyer of the Mozarteum University, Mirabellplatz 1, from 29.11. 

Call 2024 

In spring 2024, the Mozarteum University will once again award travel grants for Bob Dylan-inspired artistic and artistic-scientific team projects. These will once again be fully funded by the International Society of Mozarteum University Salzburg. The call will be officially opened during the presentation of the exhibition on November 29. In addition, insights into the projects and trips from the previous year will be given, and there will be an opportunity to exchange ideas, plans and the 2024 call with the participants of the first edition and the research management team.

All those who are interested in "With Dylan On The Road 2" and/or are toying with the idea of going on a journey themselves to do research (and) artistic work on the road are especially invited to attend!
