A total of 25,000 euros in sponsorship prizes were awarded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The "Ensemble Prize Austria," sponsored by the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, the Mozarteum University, the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna, was awarded on the recommendation of an independent jury.
The competition, organized by the Europäische Theaterakademie GmbH "Konrad Ekhof" Hamburg, offers young actors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland the opportunity to present themselves, learn from each other and discuss study goals, methods and the future of theater together. The competition promotes the students' ability to deal with professional criticism and their own power of judgment, as well as providing an insight into the different training methods of the universities.
