In memoriam Daniel Walter Chorzempa
The U.S. pianist and organist Daniel Walter Chorzempa was university professor of organ at the University Mozarteum Salzburg from 1994 to 2013. He passed away in Florence on March 25, 2023.

Daniel Walter Chorzempa not only enjoyed success on the world's great stages as an internationally renowned concert musician, but was also known and highly regarded for his excellent interpretations and extensive knowledge of the works of Franz Liszt and Johann Sebastian Bach.
He was the first to be awarded the Grand Prix du Disque by the Budapest Liszt Society, and he received the Edison Prize and the German Record Prize.
The Mozarteum University mourns the loss of an extraordinary artist and colleague and will always honor his memory.
