Claudia Sendlinger

Claudia Sendlinger studied German language and literature, English language and literature and speech training in Regensburg. She also completed practical semesters at Columbia University New York and Juilliard School New York in the departments of acting. She has been teaching speech training in drama at the Mozarteum University since 2015 and will be a university professor for speech from 1 March 2024.

From 1999 to 2015, Claudia Sendlinger taught speech training at the Munich University of Music and Theater (school music) and at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts (acting). During and after her training she dealt with the methods of Kristin Linklater and gestural speech. In 2015 she was a mentee in the Excellence Program of the Berlin University of the Arts / Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts for women in artistic university teaching. Since 2001 she has been supervising actors at various German-speaking theaters in their vocal development and text work and works on speaking choirs for productions. She teaches singers in German phonetics at various opera houses. 

Works in which she was involved were and can be seen, for example, at the Frankfurt Theater, State Theater and State Opera Nuremberg, Theater Münster and National Theater Mannheim, State Theater Stuttgart, State Theater am Gärtnerplatz Munich, Theater in der Josefstadt Vienna and at the Munich Volkstheater as well as at the Salzburg Festival (drama and opera) in 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and the Münchner Kammerspiele.
