Heidelore Wallisch-Schauer started taking instrument lessons at the age of five. She studied dulcimer, salterio, early music and period performance practice at Anton Bruckner Private University. She gave concerts with Karl-Heinz Schickhaus, August Humer, the Bruckner Orchestra Linz, musica fiorita, the Austrian new music ensemble (oenm), the Salzburger Hofmusik, Wolfgang Brunner, Peter Waldner and concilium musicum Wien, which illustrate her commitment to both, early and new music. She also tours with her two bands KultUrig and Lila House, playing crossovers between folk music, classical music, jazz and improvisation. Since 2011 she has headed the dulcimer class at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
