Born in Taiwan in 1953, Lucy Revers-Chin studied piano with Robert Scholz, later with Kurt Neumüller at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts Mozarteum (Concert-Diploma, receiving the Bernhard Paumgartner-Medal) in Salzburg, Austria.
She continued her studies with Leon Fleisher at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University (Master of Arts-degree) in Baltimore, USA. She won the gold medal of the International Piano Competition "Rina Sala Gallo" in Monza, Italy as well as First prizes both in the "Kurt Leimer-Competition", Salzburg, and the "International Piano Recording Competition", Texas, USA.
Lucy Revers-Chin gave concerts in Europe, USA and Asia.
1980–84 she was teaching at the Conservatory Feldkirch, Austria, and since 1982 at the University Mozarteum, Salzburg. Since 1993 she has been responsible for a class of highly gifted young pianists. Furthermore she completed her habilitation at University Mozarteum in 2008 and has been there ao.Univ.-Prof. for Piano since October 2008.
Several memberships in Juries of International piano competitions.
Lucy Revers-Chin is married to musicologist Prof. Dr. Peter Revers since 1982. Their son Daniel Revers was born in 1984.
