Helga Maria Palm-Beulich, Dr.

Lecturer in Musical Form and Music History

Helga Maria Palm-Beulich was born in Nuremberg and studied musicology, theater studies, history and singing in Munich. 

She works as a concert and oratorio singer, as an author at Bayerischer Rundfunk and NMZ, and as a lecturer in adult and teacher training. She wrote articles for the Munich Philharmonic and contributed to the “Konzertführer live” and “Komposer in Bayern” (Schneider-Verlag, Tutzing). In addition, she wrote opera introductions to performances by the Bavarian State Opera. In 2001 she designed an exhibition for Werner Egk's 100th birthday at the Gasteig cultural center in Munich.  

Since 1986 she has been a lecturer in music history, form theory, analysis and the history of singing at the Mozarteum University in the Department of Music Education Innsbruck. She supervises bachelor and master theses. Her research focuses on opera and song (history, interpretation, reception).
