University Professor in Painting

born 1955, is visual artist with the focus on painting. He lives in Vienna and Salzburg.
He  began his art studies at the University of Applied Art in Vienna 1973 and studied political science and philosophy at the Universities of Vienna and Salzburg from 1974 to 1976. He moved to Germany, lived in Braunschweig and Hamburg and studied painting and graphics at the State University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig between 1976 and 1982.
Working stays took him to Japan, Mexico, France and the USA.
Between1982 and 1988 he lived worked in Olevano Romano, Italy and Vienna. 1983 he got the Rome scholarship from the Austrian Federal Ministry of the Arts. 1990 he had a bursary during the l990 - cultural capital of Europe festival in Glasgow, Scottland.
Since 1978 he shows his work in solo and group exhibitions in Austria and abroad, among others in Salzburg, Vienna, Mannheim, Berlin, Dublin, New York, Venice.
Since 1993 he is professor for painting at University Mozarteum.
