Chariklia Apostolu studied piano and piano pedagogy with Thalia Mira at the Conservatory of Athens and graduated with excellence. At the Mozarteum University Salzburg she studied piano performance with Alfons Kontarsky, vocal accompanying with Werner Hollweg, Hartmut Höll and Mitsuko Shirai as well as fortepiano with Anthony Spiri. She was given private lessons of harpsichord, thorough bass and historical performance practice with Rolf Basten and she studied conducting with August Haltmayer. At the Anton Bruckner Private University she finished her master-studies with excellence in choral conducting with Kurt Dlouhy and orchestral conducting with Ingo Ingensand. In 1995 she was working as a repetiteuse for courses led by Robert Holl and Thomas Hampson. From 1995 to 2000 she was working as a lecturer for solo and class vocal accompaniment at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where she has been a contract teacher for musical rehearsal in the Opera Department since 2000. She is working as a repetiteuse at the International Summer Academy, where she has been giving recitative courses since 2007.
