Since 2017, Roland Mayer-Sams has been teaching at the University of Mozarteum Salzburg the subjects of didactics and teaching practice of the Diatonic Harmonica. He also works as a section leader for folk music at the Oö Landesmusikschulwerk and teaches in the subject Diatonic Harmonica and Folk Music Ensemble.  Lively chamber music activity in the groups "Hochwies Klarinettenmusi" and "Tennriedlmusi".

Since 2003, Roland Mayer-Sams has been a speaker at various folk music seminars and teacher training programs throughout the Alps.


Roland Mayer-Sams received his first lessons at the Musikum Salzburg, then he studied at the Mozarteum Salzburg with Anton Gmachl (harmonica) and Petra Rischanek (dulcimer). He completed his master's degree in 2009 with honors.
