Born on 14 October in WeIs, Upper Austria. In addition to studying at the College of Education in Linz, first lessons in organ playing (Hedwig Ebermann) and composition (Augustinus Franz Kropfreiter). |

Studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg: organ and composition with Josef Friedrich Doppelbauer, piano with Hedaliese von Haupt-Stummer, cello with Georg Weigl. Musicology studies at the University of Innsbruck. |

Actual Activities |

Until 1996 Concerts as an organist and director of the Wels Bach Choir in Europe, the USA and Canada. Lecture tours at the University of Michigan and the Summerschool for organists of Lady Susi Jeans in London. Performances of orchester – and chamber music works have been performed in Vienna’s Musikverein, Konzerthaus, Radiokulturhaus and Künstlerhaus, the Festival Hall St. Pölten, the Brucknerhaus Linz, the Mozarteum and the Great Festival Hall Salzburg, at the Carinthian Festival Ossiach, at the Abbey Concerts in Upper Austria, the Festival Weeks of Gmunden, the Philharmonie and Schauspielhaus in Berlin, the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Tonhalle Zürich, the Culture - and Congresscenter Lucerne, the Scala in Milan, the Teatro A. Ponchielli in Cremona, the Wigmore Hall London, the Santander Festival in Spain and the Bergen Festival in Norway. Organ music and pieces for organ and other instruments are played frequently in all major European cities. |
