The Trombone Quartet Trombonica are 4 graduated Students of the Mozarteum Salzburg. Today they are working in professional orchestras as the Saarländisches Staatstheather Saarbrücken, Deutsche Oper am Rhein Duisburg or the Camerata Salzburg.
The Ensemble started in 2003 in class sessions with their Professor Dany Bonvin. Beside baroque and classical music, Trombonica concentrates on contemporary music. The 2007 released CD "Zeitlos" (timeless) includes new arrangements of classical music as well as new compositions, written for the ensemble.
A wide repertoire of classical Trombone music, as well as Jazz, Improvisation, Folk-music and music for Children prove the various musical styles of the ensemble.

  • "Live Music Now" (international „Jehudi Menhuin" foundation) first regularly conerts in the Salzburg area.
  • "TROMBONICA goes Jazz":  4 Trombones and Drums - presented a various programm of Jazz-Standards in salzburg and bavarian Jazz-Clubs.
  • "TROMBONICA goes School": Jan Koetsir turned Wilhelm Busch’s  tail "Max and Moritz" into music. Trombonica played and told this story in schools, kindergardens and specially in schools for handicapped children.
  • "TROMBONICA goes Polka": As well as classical music Trombonica likes to play traditional folkmusic as polka, walz, Landler.
  • TROMBONE CONSTRUCTION: Since 2004 the members of Trombonica are involved in the development of the "Austrian-Trombone" by "Lechner Instruments" from Bischofshofen (Salzburg).
  • CD "Zeitlos": Recorded in 2007 the CD includes new arrangements of classical music as well as new compositions, written for the ensemble.
